Ergun Caner Addresses the United States Marine Corps post 9/11

This is the video that Ergun Caner sued to have removed. This is the video in which Caner claims to have been trained in Jihad, born in Turkey, etc.  This is not doctored, edited or otherwise manipulated.

Ergun sued fellow Christians to keep this video off the Internet claiming copyrights to the video even though the video was obtained using the Freedom of Information Act and posted in Fair Use. A recent lawsuit brought by Caner was dismissed by the judge in the case.

Memes sometime cut to the heart of an issue.

Ergun Caner opened himself to his Twitter followers last night and received a bit more negative feedback than he expected.

Keep in mind, Ergun is SUING an SBC pastor for copyright violation over these videos he now claims were faked.  It seems Ergun's plan has been to get rid of the evidence and then claim it was all faked. Now, I've posted on this before, but head over there and note how many of those videos have been deleted or have gone dark.

Also, take a look at these videos, these are audio recordings of some of the same videos that have been deleted.

It seems that these memes however really cut to the heart of the issue:

It's amazing that there are people out there still uneducated about this guy and willing to stand up for him even though he's made a mockery of the Gospel and lied to our country's own servicemen following 9/11/2001.

That didn't take long!

For those who are still wondering what this is all about, go here and watch Dr. James White explain.

Peter Lumpkins rushes to Caner's aid with a hit piece!

Good ol' Lumpy, you can always expect him to come to the aid of the unrepentant liar, Ergun Caner, but this most recent blog post is over-the-top in smarminess.  Not only does Lumpkins' again defend the undefendable, but he takes shots at Jason Smathers, a fellow who is hosting the legally obtained videos Ergun Caner so eagerly wants purged from the Internet.

Jason Smathers was convicted of providing email addresses to an online casino in 2005, he served his time and was released, later coming to Christ.  You can read Smathers' testimony here.

The difference, clearly lost on the likes of Lumpkins, is that Smathers repented of, and admits to, his past unrighteousness, whereas Ergun Caner continues to deny that he purposely padded his testimony after 9/11/2001.

So while Ergun Caner now seeks to purge all references to his testimony including those he has no right to, even going so far as to sue innocent Christians who host the videos, Lumpkins would rather castigate these other believers than call Caner to repentance.

Well, I've not come to expect anything less from Peter. Pray for repentance, for Lumpkins and for Ergun Caner.
