Radio.Blog
Here's a neat thingy... I've been listening to 'radio.blogs' for a while and decided to make one of some of the tunes I'm fond of lately. I'll maybe ad more as time goes by. I recommend starting with "Dazzle" by Souixsie and the Banshees. (See right)

Also, here's an image of what it looks like nearby (relatively) in Bezerkeley...

  1. Micah,
I cannot post to a blog elsewhere, but you ought to consider the following and either post it there or modify it to suit your taste.
Either way, you need to give that audience the Gospel, as the Scarecrow and Enloe obviously don't know what it is

"What made them righteous was faith, not works.
The Lord saw them as righteous as 'in Christ', not in themselves.
They were justified (declared righteous) apart from the works of the law. Apart from them, not by doing them.
So, blamelessness is a legal declaration based on an imputed righteousness.
Therefore, the fruit of justification, sanctification, is in view. Zach and Liz, as a consequence of belief, kept the moral and ceremonial law. They were blameless in their behavior, so that no one could reprove them (sounds like James 2 to me...)
    Geneva Bible, 1599: "...the
fruits of justification are set forth here, and not the cause, which is faith only, and nothing else."

This is the Gospel. Which any newborn Calvinist should know."

  2. Ron,

I speak with scarecrow and TGE almost on a daily basis, I think they know where I stand in contrast to themselves.

Yet I want to ask something of you, where you state: "Therefore, the fruit of justification, sanctification, is in view. Zach and Liz, as a consequence of belief, kept the moral and ceremonial law. They were blameless in their behavior, so that no one could reprove them (sounds like James 2 to me...) "

I agree with part of what you've said, but this part I do not. Zach and Liz as a consequence of their faith in Christ, as promised by God were blameless, not because of their keeping the moral and ceremonial law (even though that may have been an outcome of their faith).

Paul considered himself "as to the righteousness which is in the Law... blameless" even while he was persecuting the church of God. (Phil 3:6)

Yet the blamelessness that is expressed in the life of Zach and Elizabeth can be best described by Col 1:22, blamelessness as a result of the imputed righteousness of Christ by grace through faith. Yes the fruit of justification is sanctification, but if I am to be judged blameless or not based on my keeping of the moral/ceremonial law, I'm toast.

See, you say "What made them righteous was faith, not works." but then you seem to back off from that saying "they were blameless in their behavior."
