As a former Charismatic, I found R. Scott Clark's essay about "Sister" Aimee Semple McPherson to be a fascinating study of the founder of the Foursquare movement. Clark examines the life, teachings and scandals surrounding a personality who seems to serve as a model for modern charismatics and some evangelicals.
The essay can be found in the book
Always Reformed: Essays in Honor of W. Robert Godfrey which can be purchased at the
Westminster Seminary bookstore.
I also enjoyed David VanDrunen's essay on "Calvin, Kyuper, and 'Christian Culture'". A book surely worth reading.
